Youth Conference

This Friday and Saturday I went to Youth Conference with my stake. I had a really negative attitude and didn't want to go at all. We were leaving early Friday morning and staying in dorms at the U, then coming home late Saturday night. I complained a lot throughout the whole thing...not a good thing to do I know!!! I wanted to come home yesterday afternoon before dinner, because we were having dinner and another Presentation they called it (this was like the 7th). But I just stayed anyway and I am glad I did, that ended up being the best part!

The Stake young men's leader spoke and did an analogy. He had a boy on the stage with him and called up a girl. He asked the girl if she would like a donut. She said yes, and then he said to the boy, "would you do 10 push ups so that Paige can have a donut?" And the boy did 10 push ups. This went on and the boy ended up doing easily over 500 push-ups so that other people could have a donut. He was comparing it to how Christ went through all of the pain of every single person’s sins in the Garden of Gethsemane, so that we could be forgiven through the atonement.

Being there for this experience made it all so much more real to me! My testimony of the atonement has truly been strengthened. I know that each and every person on this earth can be forgiven of their sins by repenting, through the wonderful power of the atonement that Christ made possible for us! I know that we are all sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father that loves us more than we could ever imagine! And I am so grateful for everything that he does for me!

Day 4: Your favorite superhero and why

It is pretty much a given that I suck at blogging. But I am going to make myself finish this blog challenge, even if it kills me!!!
My absolute favorite Superhero is IRON MAN!! First of all he is awesome and second of all he is played by Robert Downey Jr. in the movies, what's not to love?!

So, I was looking for pictures of me and my friends and couldn't find any! I found one on my phone from whenever we went to Harry Potter 7. You will just have to bear with me, because it isn't the best picture out there, (we struggle sometimes, as you can tell :D) but here goes...

Day 2- Blog Name

Sorry I missed a day, I warned you about this in the beginning, I am going to be flaky at posting on my blog! Day 2 is the meaning of your blog name:
My whole life I have been called "brown eyed girl," because I am the only girl in my family with brown eyes. The song, "Brown Eyed Girl" By Van Morrison has always been my song! I love that song and can listen to it all of the time! That is where I came up with my blog name, I think it is very fitting!

3. My favorite fast food restaurant would have to be In-N-Out, grilled cheese and neapolatin shake...yummy!

4. I have been a vegetarian for 3 years now

5. My best friends are Erin Madsen and Katelynn Carter (we have all been friends ever since the first grade)

6. I have five siblings, 2 brothers and 3 sisters

7. I am an aunt to 4 adorable nieces and nephews

8. I have a 2 year old dog named Bailey Nicole, she is a black and white Jack-Russell/Lab mix
9. I have a black kitten named Lily Ann
10. I have the most AMAZING mom in the world!
11. I started getting migraines in the 2nd grade, and still get them (they are NO fun whatsoever!)
12. I am a Sophomore at Pleasant Grove High School

13. I was born in Sherman, Texas on November 14, 1994

14. I know it isn't very original, but I want to be an elementary school teacher whenever I grow up (I would also like to become a Pediatric Surgeon, but I doubt that will ever happen)

15. My sister in law Courtney gave me a butterfly necklace for my birthday a year or so ago and I wear it almost everyday
